We've been boardgaming for decades, but didn't truly discover modern boardgames till the mid 2010's. We got serious about the hobby and began really building a collection in fall 2016. Workers placement is our favorite mechanic, followed up by deck building, push your luck, drafting, and engine building in no particular order. Our least favorite is dungeon crawlers, followed by fiddly cooperatives (app driven co ops are fine.) To us the asthetics, quality components, and table presence of a game are important, they enhance the enjoyment of a game (while poor quality components detract) In my listing of owned games I do not rate/review expansions, I consider the effect of expansions in the main game rating. I don't keep games we don't like, so it is unlikely you will see many if any low ratings in my owned collection. My want to play list is games that are unboxed and awaiting play (basically my shelf of shame).  My previously owned list is games I used to own and have played, but decided they weren't somethng we liked enough to keep. I've owned others that I never played; they were just trade material that never appealed to me, so I don't have those listed.
