Thanks for using Board Game Atlas! These terms of service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Board Game Atlas (“we” or “our”) websites, client software, and services, so please carefully read them before using Board Game Atlas.
Using Board Game Atlas means accepting these terms
You're responsible for your conduct, must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
Please safeguard your password to the Services, make sure that others don't have access to it, and keep your account information current.
Finally, our Services are not intended for and may not be used by people under the age of 13. By using our Services, you are representing to us that you're over 13.

Software

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Board Game Atlas AND ITS AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS AND DISTRIBUTORS MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ABOUT THE SERVICES. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS". WE ALSO DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXCEPT FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR Board Game Atlas’S OR ITS AFFILIATES’ FRAUD, FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, IN NO EVENT WILL Board Game Atlas, ITS AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS OR DISTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR:
(A) ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR
(B) ANY LOSS OF USE, DATA, REGARDLESS OF LEGAL THEORY.
THIS WILL BE REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT Board Game Atlas OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES HAS BEEN WARNED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
Resolving Disputes
Let's Try To Sort Things Out First. We want to address your concerns without needing a formal legal case. Before filing a claim against Board Game Atlas, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting trent@boardgameatlas.com. We'll try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within 15 days of submission, you or Board Game Atlas may bring a formal proceeding.
The permissions you give us
You give us permission to use content you create and share like text and images. Some content that you share or upload, such as photos, may be protected by intellectual property laws.
You own the intellectual property rights (things like copyright or trademarks) in any such content that you create and share on Board Game Atlas.
Nothing in these Terms takes away the rights you have to your own content. You are free to share your content with anyone else, wherever you want. However, to provide our services you give us a license to use this content. Specifically, when you share, post, or upload content that is covered by intellectual property rights on or in connection with our Products, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content. This means, for example, that if you share a photo on Board Game Atlas, you give us permission to store, copy, and share it with others (again, consistent with your settings) such as service providers that support our service. This license will end when your content is deleted from our systems.
You can delete content individually or all at once by deleting your account. Learn more about how to delete your account. You can download a copy of your data at any time before deleting your account.
You give us permission to use your name, profile picture, and information about your actions with ads and sponsored content.
Modifications
We may revise these Terms from time to time, and will always post the most current version on our website. If a revision meaningfully reduces your rights, we will notify you (by, for example, sending a message to the email address associated with your account, posting on our blog or on this page). By continuing to use or access the Services after the revisions come into effect, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
